Kinette Club of Shellbrook
Charter & Affiliation
The Shellbrook Kinette Club is part of Kin Canada, the national service organization founded in 1920 by Hal Rogers. The Kinette Club of Shellbrook was chartered February 2, 1989. The group helps support local infrastructure such as the town swimming pool facility, community hall, parks and green spaces - and so much more.
Meetings
Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7pm, and are hosted at the Shellbrook Community Hall
Mission & Values
As part of Kin Canada, the Shellbrook Kinettes are committed to changing lives and making Canadian communities better places . They mobilize volunteer efforts, foster fellowship, and support civic engagement—the core values of Kin Canada. Our goal is to serve the community’s greatest needs.
Ongoing Activities & Fundraisers
The Shellbrook Kinettes are actively engaged in a variety of annual initiatives and events:
Santa Day – a festive day of activities offering crafts, play, meetings with Santa & his elves and treats during the holiday season.
Ballapalooza - in partnership with Shellbrook Minor Ball Association; a weekend of ball for all ages, canteen, Kidzone, magic shows, bouncy castles and more fun held annually at the Shellbrook sportsgrounds in early June.
Disc Golf - a beautiful, new, high-quality course nestled in Centennial Park created with disc golf Saskatchewan.
Twinkle Tour - another festive way to celebrate the holiday season, a home light & decoration contest with a parade through town to view the festive decor.
Babysitters & Home Alone Courses – training event to support youth development and community safety.
Shellbrook Mamas – ongoing community support for parents and children, including monthly events for families with young children.
Christmas Hamper Program – working with the local ministerial foodbank organizing food and gift hampers for local families in need.
Telemiracle Fundraising – participating with provincial Kin clubs to support the annual Saskatchewan Telethon .
Chase the Lucky 7 Raffle – in partnership with the Shellbrook Curling Club, a community raffle running annually (October to May); proceeds support our community projects .
Ladies Night Golf - in partnership with Hidden Hills Golf club, a night to celebrate women, have some fun and let our hair down. Always with a fun theme!
